My first interesting client

So yesterday I had my very first interesting client on the floor. Every client I have had so far have been fun easy and friendly. Now yesterday client was friendly and nice and all that but at the same time something funny happen. So she came in wanting her sisters hair lol which is three different colors. So on the bottom we did a 4n which was also are lowlight and then a highlight and a all over color in between the highlight low lights which was 4cb+4a I believe. Well while foiling she fell asleep and waking her up wasn't lasting for long so I had to hold her head up or have someone do it for me! After I finished fulling I woke her up by asking if she needed anything and she asked if she could go smoke. Well once we rinsed her out I had to cut half way through the cut she let me know she needs to be at the doctor at 5pm and it is 4 something so I let my learner leader do the layers and did a quick dry! She had a great time I loved the turn out and I think she prebooked with me so all in all it was great but having a client sleep on you is not fun lol.

Caper

I can officially say I am going to Caper!!!!! Yesterday was the best day ever! I started off my day with my first foil highlight (sadly forgot to take pictures). Which with the add ons and take home she bought I had my first ticket over $100. Then I sold all my Caper bags and am going to VEgas. Plus I get home and my husband decides to give me my Christmas present early. It is a samsung tablet which I am in love with. Last day of school  is Tuesday then I am off for the holidays.

Caper 2015

So I am trying to go to Caper 2015 and the only way I can do that is by selling a total of 65 Caper bags. So I thought I would take the time to share exactly what Caper is why I want to got what I will get to experience if I get to go. Also I will share each Caper bag that is still available explain each product in the bag and why you will love it.
                                                 First what is Caper you ask?
Well Caper is a event that happens every year that is only open to Paul Mitchell Future Professionals (students). At Caper the student will experience hands on classes in cutting, texture, coloring, and makeup. Which will be taught by very well known artist in the cosmetology world. Also there will be special guest and motivational speakers.

I personally would love to meet all these wonderful people and learn from all of them!

Why do I want to go to Caper?

This is a once in a life time educational experience and life experience. At Caper I could advance my education and learn techniques I could only dream about learning! This could also open up future job opportunities to me.

How you buying bags gets me to Caper?

 I have to sell 65 bags (I have 42 left to sell) by this Saturday December 20th. This is my only way to Caper, If I sell all my bags the whole trip plane, hotel,classes everything is paid for. I can not pay for the trip the only way to go is selling these Caper bags. So please help me get on the plane to Caper!

Caper Countdown!

I only have six more days to sell 42 more Caper bags and I am seriously out of ways to sell! I am thinking tomorrow just spending my whole entire days selling and bugging the heck out of people!!!! So yea if you have any advise please share!!!!!

Yay Sunday!!!!

 I am so happy to finally have a day to relax with my family and not think about school much. I do need to study for my test once today. This week was fun the only thing I hate is I forgot to take pictures of all my clients. So I will just write about each day. Wednesday I had a mans cut which I am getting better at and more comfortable with. Hopefully next one I will not be nervous. Thursday I was on tickets so no guest for me. Friday  I had my first eye brow wax and lip wax which was fun and easy!!! Plus I believe she rebooked with me. Then Saturday now my thought in the morning was I really didn't want a guest I wanted to work on my worksheet all day. So I get a guest at 930 for a conditioning treatment and cut and style so get my guest and talk her to get a color since she thought she couldn't with the treatment and she rebooked bought product and left me a very nice tip. So yesterday was my best day so far on the floor and I hope to have many more like that.

Back at it!!!

Well it's Wednesday and that means break is over and today is my first day back to school in a week 😄😃😀.   You might find it weird but I am excited to get back to school I have missed it like a crazy person. Thanksgiving was fun ate too much and gained too much weight back! Avoided Black Friday like the plague but did get my kids some clothes on cyber Monday which was awesome! Plus finished most of my Christmas shopping yesterday. Yay!

Saturday's on the floor

So yesterday was my first Saturday on the floor all day and receiving my own clients. So started the morning out on towel duty which actually isn't as bad as people made it out to be washing towels is kind of relaxing and a lot of people said it was one of the first Saturday's they actually had towels on the floor. Well after  towel duty I had a appointment for 1240 for a cut in color. It went great (btw it's my dad) but it was my first time mixing color for myself and I loved it and I did it and the cut with no help and t turned out great!!! Here's some pictures from Saturday. I and Tuesday I am getting my hair done 😃😀😄

Yay! Wait I got school tomorrow 😄😃😀.   So to catch up I am officially cutting hair and on the floor and today u got my first "stranger" guest. Plus it was a men's cut. So I have to say truthfully I was nervous at first and when I got to my guest and found out I had to fade I was more nervous!!! But I got comfortable and face my fears and did a pretty awesome job I have to say so myself. I have to say I love my learning leader who helped me today and my close friend who kept me calm!!! Bye bye protégé

So I know I have not been posting the whole time I have been in protégé but I have been busy and tomorrow is my last day in protégé! I can not believe these past 4 weeks have gone by that fast and that I have been in school for 10 weeks!!! So this means Tuesday I officially start adaptive and will be on the floor in the mornings taking guest and doing real hair! Am I excited yes but also super nervous!!!! Everybody is telling me I will be okay but still I'm am terrified of doing something wrong or someone getting mad at me!!! But I will hopefully remember to do a post a week starting now and share my experiences good and bad. Mondays

So people who don't know Monday is my Sunday in someways. Since I still have to go on school Saturday my only days off are Sunday and Monday like most hairstylist. Today I am happy it's Monday but not happy I got stuff to do on my off day lol but that's part of life. So here's a funny photo to share how I feel this morning. 

No longer a core baby!

I am happy to say I am out of Core and in protégé. I passed my practical with a 100 and my written with a 89 which I am going to retake if I can to get a A. I'm still a little confused if it will affect me being on deans list or not since two people have told me different.                                  Saturday was my first day on the floor as a protege which was a lot of fun. I got to help with two up styles, a lot of blow drying but my favorite was a ombré I got to help out with 😃 I love ombrés and can not wait to do one my self 😃.           Here's some pictures from the last 6 weeks of core and more to come for protege these next four weeks.                  

 

 

Four weeks in and loving it!

I am on week five of core which means I have finished cutting week and will start spa week tomorrow.
  I loved cutting week and never thought I would be this good at it. I also did not cut a finger off which is awesome.
I am looking forward to learning all about Spa, waxing and manicures and pedicures.

Week one is done.

 I started Cosmetology school last Tuesday at Paul Mitchell the school. I can say my first day I was nervous. I had no clue what I was getting myself into or what I was walking into. The last thing I excepted to happen is to make any friends.
   Now after being their for only 5 days I can say I love it so much. I love my class (I'm in core of course) I am enjoying everything that I am learning everyday. Its just so much fun and I even love to come home and practice to make what I learned even better. I have also made so many friends I couldn't even begin to list a number. There are so many nice girls there and not only in my class but the entire school. I am so happy I have decided to go to school at such a wonderful place and can not wait to share more.
